You can't have just one pilot in the family.

*It has just occurred to me that some folks may not know who "Wrong Way" Corrigan was, therefore here is his story: WRONG WAY CORRIGAN...a Pilot, from the West Coast, who was forbidden by the governing aeronautic board of the time, to cross the Atlantic NY to Ireland in his home-built airplane... On the morning of July 17 1938, in the fog at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, New York,  he took off to ostensibly return to Los Angeles. When he landed at Baldonnel Airport, in Dublin, after a 28-hour, 13-minute flight., he said, "Gee I guess I went the WRONG WAY"... <L> Forever after he was Wrong Way Corrigan.
**As for Amelia: Amelia Earhart was the first woman to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross, awarded for becoming the first aviatrix to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean She set many other records. In 1937, Earhart disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean near Howland Island. Fascination with her life, career and disappearance continues to this day
